Copper

Copper is such a rich, warm color and it's a multi-faceted metal that can be hammered, stamped, and antiqued/darkened with patinas or colored with a torch. 

For the copper designs, I apply three coats of Renaissance Wax to the pieces to prevent tarnish or to preserve any patina I've added. Naturally occurring tarnish is easily removed from copper with natural, chemical-free ingredients; just mix equal parts flour and salt and add enough vinegar to make a paste. Rub the paste on your copper piece, then rinse with cool water and dry thoroughly. Store copper jewelry in an air-tight plastic bag in a cool, dry place with anti-tarnish paper to preserve the warm copper hue.
